last night was amazing...

i participated in the GLOBAL NIGHT COMMUTE... tens of thousands across the world walked to their nearest city and slept to represent children in uganda that do that every night.

there's a civil war going on in uganda and children are taken from the villages by the LRA (rebels) and are turned into soldiers... i'm talking about kids as young as 5 years old... forced to KILL people...
THOUSANDS of them gather in the city at night crammed together to sleep with only a straw mat and on old blanket to escape being kidnapped.

last night was the first step. and it was amazing. we all met at piedmont park and freedom park and walked to georgia tech's yellow jacket park with all of our sleeping bags and stuff.
then at 11:30 pm, we got together so the filmmakers could take a HUGE group photo/camera shot.
this was done in every location... each location held a sign w/ their city's name and a quote. ours was "a child should have their right to play".
then, we took one in the morning at sunset.

1,083 people showed up in atlanta.
every person made an art project, wrote a letter to the president, and a letter to the senator.
people really can make a difference.

you NEED to see this documentary. these filmmakers are the ones that came up with this global night commute. they are adding more footage to the documentary (footage from the global night commutes across the world) and are then making a feature film which should be out in theatres soon

support this cause!

so casting crowns is definitely shooting a music video on my campus.
it's sooooo cool to see tents, and trucks, and huge lights and cameras and a guy running around saying "CUE THE LEAVES!!! ACTION!"

skipped class today and watched for a few hours, just in awe of all that gets put into production.
their shots tonight were all in the courtyard IN the reflection pool outside.

AND they'll be here tomorrow! :)

One more...
